I see no mention of older, pre-Cosby examples--looking at you, Mike Brady--or even anyone in the contemporaneous TGIF lineup, so there's definitely some room for further discussion. And, of course, we can't talk TV Dads without talking about Phil from Modern Family.

You guys have any other favorites or stories about how TV Dads influenced you, later, in your own fatherhood experience?
